Five years have passed since the tumultuous finale of Elpis, and though a catastrophic war has been averted, the safety of the world is threatened by the Elpis-enhanced experiments of Augurc and his Brotherhood.

A plan is formed to locate powerful Nexi stones known as Haders, crafted centuries ago for the purpose of combatting the Elpis. Two unlikely teams are formed, one team includes Borely, who finds himself struggling to come to terms with what he has become - a bloodthirsty vampire - the very thing he has long despised. His goal is to find Areo, the one who saved his life and brought him to this state. But will the Haders enable Borely to rescue Areo from the clutches of the Brotherhood?

Meanwhile the elven airship-pilot Lanek finds himself enlisted for the other Haders search team, and realizes that deep down he is still suffering over the loss of his sister. Will finding the Haders and bringing down the Brotherhood be enough to avenge her, and finally bring peace to Lanek's aimless spirit?

About the Author

Author Aaron McGowan is probably best known for his Elpis and Haders novels. The 28-year-old Australian writer is currently carving a successful niche in the adventure fantasy genre, having already reached #3 in the Action & Adventure and #1 in the Sci-fi Graphic Novels charts on the Amazon Best-Sellers list.

Melbourne born Aaron’s debut was at New Melbourne’s Armageddon Expo in October 2011 at an artist table where his two full-length Elpis novels sold beyond his expectations. As well as his Elpis series and Haders novels, Aaron is also the writer behind the popular manga style Sci-fi comic AslashD.

The entrepreneurial niche publisher, based in Bendigo, Victoria, also edits and writes Alpha Manga (www.alphamanga.com), a bi-weekly anime and manga blog covering the latest manga and anime reviews, SUB’s and DUB’s. Currently working on his as-yet untitled third novel, Aaron is also in negotiations working on putting some of his work into an anime cartoon series.
